December Visa Updates!
Malaysia Update
The Malaysian government has extended its visa-free entry policy for Indian nationals, a noteworthy initiative that will remain in effect until December 31, 2026. This move is set to enhance tourism and drive economic growth for both nations.
All travellers entering Malaysia, including those eligible for visa exemption, are now required to register online for the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card before their trip. This card replaces the traditional immigration forms and streamlines the entry process.
UAE Embassy Update
The Dubai Embassy Holiday Schedule for December 2024:
- Christmas Eve: Tuesday, December 24
- Christmas Day: Wednesday, December 25
- First Day of Hanukkah: Thursday, December 26
Additionally, expect slower processing times on December 27, 28, and 29. Plan your applications accordingly!
Chinese Visa Application Service Centre
Please be informed that the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in New Delhi will be closed on 25th December 2024 on account of Christmas Holiday. Please arrange your appointment and submission accordingly.
Argentina Update
The Embassy and Consular Section will remain closed to the public on December 24th and 25th, 2024, for Christmas, and on December 31st, 2024, and January 1st, 2025, for New Year
US Embassy in India Announces New Visa Appointment Rules for 2025
The US Embassy in India has introduced major updates to its nonimmigrant visa appointment and rescheduling policies, set to take effect on January 1, 2025. These changes aim to tackle the ongoing challenge of lengthy visa wait times and provide fair access to visa interviews for all applicants.
South African High Commission Update
Please note that the South African High Commission in New Delhi and VFS South Africa in Delhi will remain closed from December 23, 2024, to January 1, 2025, for the festive season.
Thailand e-visa Update
The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced Thailand's eVisa will be available from 01 January 2025 for Indian Passport-holders.
Applicants, non-Thai nationals, must apply for all types of visas at the website https://www.thaievisa.go.th.
Egypt Visa Applications (Business or Tourist)
For a business visa application, the applicant must submit an authority letter on the company's official letterhead. The letter must feature the company stamp, and an authorized signature.
For Tourist visa applications, the applicant must provide an authority letter on plain paper, signed by the applicant.
South Africa Mumbai Consulate
The South Africa Consulate in Mumbai will temporarily suspend the acceptance of business and tourist visa applications starting from 20th December 2024 until further notice.
The South Africa Consulate in Mumbai will only accept work permit applications from 20th December 2024 to 24th December 2024. For applications submitted from 17th December 2024, the travel date must be after 15th January 2025.
Japan Mumbai Consulate
The Japan Consulate in Mumbai will be closed on 25th December 2024, 30th December 2024, and 31st December 2024. Additional holiday notifications will be provided by the consulate.
Turkey Visa Applications
Starting January 1, 2025, applicants from India applying for work permits or student visas for Türkiye will need to provide biometric fingerprints. As a result, all applicants must visit our Visa Application Center in person.
Please note that applications submitted by representatives, travel agencies, or third parties will not be accepted under any circumstances.
