Here is an overview of what’s new this week in September:


China Visa Updates

  • The Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in New Delhi will be closed from 1st October 2024 to 7th October 2024 in observance of Chinese National Day.
  • China VFS, Kolkata will be closed from 1st October to 11th October
  • Due to some technical issues, The Chinese Visa Application Centre in Mumbai will stop accepting the applications for both Visa and Attestation from 26th September 2024 and Visa Centre will stop service from the same day.


Turkey Updates E-Visa Rules for Schengen Visa Holders

Turkey has recently updated its e-visa application process for travellers with Schengen visas. Effective immediately, travellers must ensure their Schengen visa is valid for over six months to be eligible for a Turkish e-visa.


Temporary Visitor Visa at the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi

Effective September 13, 2024, all applicants for Temporary Visitor Visas (9a visa) at the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi must apply for electronic visas (e-VISA). This new policy covers the following Temporary Visitor Visa subtypes:

Business, Tourism or Leisure, Medical Treatment, Private Yachtsmen / Sailors, Film Making, Journalists / Crew, Athletic and Performing Arts / Crew


Italy Visa VFS Application Centre in Bangalore is relocating to a new address

Italy Visa Application Centre in Bangalore will relocate to a new address from 23rd September 2024.

New Address: 3rd Floor, Embassy Star Building, 8th Main Road, Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru 560051


Austria Visa Application Form

The Austria Visa Application Form has been revised, and the new version will be officially in effect from August 30th, 2024.


Exemption of Collection of Biometric Data for China Short-Term Visa Applications

Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in India will expand the exemption from biometric data (fingerprints) collection to include all applicants eligible for short-term single or double-entry visas (with stays of less than 180 days). The exemption period is from September 2, 2024 to December 31, 2025.


New Requirement: SATUSEHAT Health Pass for Travel to Indonesia

Please be advised that all travellers to Indonesia are required to individually complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass (SSHP). The completed SSHP must be submitted to the airport health authorities upon arrival. Please be informed that until further notice, all guests travelling to Indonesia are required to fill up the SATUSEHAT Health Pass (SSHP).


Thailand to Launch Mandatory ETA for 93 Visa-Exempt Countries

Thailand will introduce a new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system for visa-exempt travellers starting in December 2024. Visitors arriving by air, land, or sea will be required to obtain an ETA. The new system is designed to improve security and simplify entry procedures, with confirmations usually provided within 24 hours.
